JIREH CYCLES

I cannot express how grateful we are to Jireh Cycles in Festus Missouri. My friend Jeff and I were driving down mainstreet Festus sometime last spring when we noticed a new motorcycle shop moving into the area. We stopped and decided to go inside. They were not open to the public but still let us browse around. We had the opportunity to meet the nicest fellow in the world by the name of John George. He told us they were not open yet but to look around anyway.

We left got some chow and never thought much about it anymore. We both were wanting to build some custom scoots and were shoppng around for prices and parts. Jeff and I had both built a couple of helicopters a few years back and flew them till they became dangerous and killed a couple of our good friends. Time to find a new hobby.

Motorcycles has been in my blood since the age of 13 when I aquired a Hodaka in a basket. The majority of the parts were really in a bushell basket. I was able to put it back together and ride the living shit out of it. That started a fire in me that continues today and I am 52. I raced motorcycles in the desert while serving in the Marine Corps. I raced motorcross after getting out. I started to race hare scrambles until I could no longer take the falls and beatings woods riding offered and had to quit at age 42. I have had over 50 motorcycles since my youth and decided to go back to street riding but did not want just any motorcycle. It had to be my own design.

A couple of weeks went by and we were getting discouraged in finding what we needed to build our custom bikes. All of the local shops we visited sold kits but if you decided you wanted a different style of fender or seat or whatever you would have to buy an additionl fender or seat or whatever of your choice. We were in Festus on this particualr day and decided to stop at Jireh. Again we were greeted by John and his perpetual smiling face. After talking to him we were told we could substitute and delete parts from the kit and not pay anything extra unless the component you chose was higher in price than the old one. If your new chosen component was cheaper you got a credit. Wow what a deal. John gave us some detail build sheets on a couple of kits and we took them home to look them over.

We were like kids in a candy store. It took us several months of going back and drooling over the bikes they had on display. When I say display bikes I mean you can sit on them touch them take pictures whatever. By the time we were finished with our substitutions it wasn't even the same bikes. We took a slew of pictures and each and every time John treated us like we were their only customer. Sometimes we just went there to visit John. They have rolling chassis on the floor so you can see just what you are getting. No pressure just a fun place.

I would say it was approx 5 months of bugging the shit out of John with a million questions when we finally decided to order our parts. We ordered them on Thursday and 2 skids arrrived on Sat. the same week. I don't think I could of gotten that good of service anywhere else. The bikes are completed and both are head turners. Every where we go it seems we are the center of attention. I want to thank Jireh and their staff and especially John and Debbie the owner. I even lost the MSO for the engine 2 times and they never gave me any trouble over loosing them. It is so inspiring to see the energy John puts into his customers. Thanks again guys.
